Formed in 2016 by bassist/singer and songwriter Rod Rosica, the band has its origins in Brazil but since 2019 the project has been based in Dublin-Ireland. Since February 2022, following the pandemic, the band has been very active in the Irish underground scene and became popular for their energetic stage presence and powerful hard rock sound with a bluesy touch. Still in Brazil, the original formation released the EP ‘Bluesy Soulful Experience’ in 2019. In 2022 Igor Tavares (guitar) joined the project and the band released the two singles ‘Under Her Spell’ and ‘A Thousand Years’ during the same year. In 2023 the EP 'Pleasure & Sin' was released, together with the music video of 'Burden of Guilt, which was very well received by the local media and public. The band's most recent singles were 'There's no love', launched in September 2024 and “Shine On”, released in April 2025.​

New EP “Dancing with Angels & Demons” out on April 28th 2026. The track “Mr Candyman”,  released in November 2025, is also part of the EP.

The Voodoo Kitchen's current formation is Rod Rosica (bass/vocals), Igor Tavares (guitars) and Billy Katsikas (drums).
